RachelRachel Keller is a fictionalized character in The Ring movie series. The character of Rachel Keller the fictional character of The Ring film series, was created by Ehren Kr ger. It is portrayed by Naomi Watts. In The Ring Two, Rachel is forced to research the story of Samara Morgan after her son suffers from a mysterious ailment.In The Ring, Rachel Keller as an investigative reporter, is asked by her sister Ruth to investigate the enigmatic circumstances that led to Katie's death. Rachel reveals to Rachel that she found her daughter's disfigured corpse in the closet. She also informs Rachel that her official cause of death was a heart attack in spite of Katie being a healthy teenager. Katie's friends tell Rachel about the myth of the tape with the curse and the story of how Katie's friend Becca was confined to an institution after Katie's death. Katie's boyfriend and her two friends died in strange accidents the same night , at 10 at night. Rachel travels to Shelter Mountain Inn and stays at Cabin 12, the same cabin where Katie and her friends were watching the videotape with the curse. Rachel stumbles across the tape, and then watches it and then her phone rings. Rachel hears a voice utter "seven days". Rachel is known as Noah Clay as a video analyst by her ex-boyfriend. Rachel finds out later that Aidan Noah's son watched the tape, as Noah was calling her. He tells Rachel that Noah believes Rachel. Rachel looks through the tape to find the lighthouse and finds that it is situated on Moesko Island. This was the home of Anna Morgan, an evil horse breeder cursed to be on the tape with the cursed name. Rachel discovered that Anna was the mother of an adopted child named Samara who was capable of burning disturbing images into the bodies and minds of humans, animals and other objects. Rachel encounters Anna's widower Richard however, he takes her leave as she begins to ask questions about Samara.
