Kristen Anne Bell (1980) is a popular American actress and singer. She is an Michigan native born and raised by her parents, Lorelei Frygier (a nurse) and Tom Bell (a TV news director). Her family ancestry includes Polish (mother) as well as German, English, Irish and Scottish (father). Kristen discovered her talents in entertainment as a young age. In 1992, she attended her first audition and won the role of Raggedy Ann and Andy. Bell's mom signed her up at an agency prior to when she turned 13; she was then featured in TV commercials and newspaper ads. As well as taking private lessons in acting, she launched her career around that time. Bell played an uncredited part of Polish Wedding (1998), the film that was released in 1998. Bell attended Shrine Catholic High School where she took part in musical and drama clubs. The Wizard of Oz was staged by her high school, and she was awarded the role as Dorothy. Bell then moved in New York City, to the Tisch School of the Arts. She was a musical theatre student at the Tisch School of the Arts. In 2001, Bell quit her university in order to play the role of Becky in Tom Sawyer. The is the year she had her first credit debut in Pootie Tang (2001), however her character was deleted and she was only seen in the credit sequence. Bell was featured in the Broadway revival of The Crucible starring Liam Neeson & Angela Bettis.
